Have you ever had the soothing and stress-relieving experience of a massage?

If not, here are 7 reasons to schedule a massage today!

Stone Massage

  • Helps manage anxiety and depression by reducing the levels of the stress hormone, cortisol by 50%, according to an article by Huffington Post.
  • Eases back pain tremendously, reducing the need for painkillers by 36%, according to an article on WebMd.

Back pain

  • Affects sleep patterns and can help with sleep disorders because of massage’s effect on delta waves, the kind of brain waves connected to deep sleep, according toan article by Huffington Post.
  • Helps curb headaches and lessen their symptoms, according to an article on WebMd.
  • Boosts immunity by increasing the disease fighting white blood cells in your body. Used in Cancer Therapy because of this, according to an article by Huffington Post.
  • Helps alleviate the pain and discomfort in pregnancy in a natural and safe way, according to an article on www.babycenter.com.

  • These are only SOME of the benefits of a massage. Helping to manage the pain of arthritis, beating the discomfort of PMS, and aiding in blood pressure control are a few more reasons why you should “get a rubdown”!

Our physicians believe in the healing benefits of massage so much that they decided to offer Massage Therapy right here in our office, with our Certified & Licensed Massage Therapists, Jana Roselynn Laird and Christine Hunter (pictured below).  We believe the medical benefits you will see from these two women’s phenomenal massage techniques, like stress reduction, rehabilitation,  and personalized therapy, will help you in your everyday lives.

Christine Hunter, CMT

We want you to experience the calming, pain relieving, and relaxing experience for yourself, so our physicians are GIVING AWAY a 60 minute massage to one of you!

Share with us “What Helps You Relax” and we will randomly select a winner from those who leave a comment about what they do to relax.

Contest will end Monday, April 1st at 8:00 pm. Winner will be announced Tuesday afternoon on our blog and Facebook. Good Luck!

A nice hot bath! With the door locked so the kids have to go to their daddy for their hearts desire.

That moment when the kids finally fall asleep and I relax in my recliner and read on my kindle. (Which isn’t as often now since I’m in nursing school haha)

To relax I make a cup of Mother’s Milk tea and sit down with a crochet project, a pile of laundry, or a good book (once the babies are in bed, of course!). 🙂

I lock myself in my bedroom and read my kindle for about 10 min. It’s interrupted by little ones but after they knock 50 times and I don’t answer they go and find their dad. 🙂

Paint. This would be why my walls keep changing colors. I believe painting is just about the only thing that helps me relax.
